Description :	Daté et complet, avec sa cuve à deux anses et son couvercle à poignée sommitale. Simple décor de filets.

Historique :	On connaît ce type de production, qui s'échelonne entre le 15e siècle et le 17e siècle, et reflète le passé proto-industriel de la région. On produisait ce type d'objet autour de la Motte-Cochon, sur la commune de Lugny-Champagne, où l'on traitait le minerai de fer. Ces bénitiers étaient fondus dans des moules en deux parties. Une dizaine de bénitiers de ce type sont classés, la cathédrale de Bourges en abrite un.
